More about Tooth Fillings
What to Expect in the First Appointment?
The dentist will remove old fillings and also remove additional decay, if any.
Teeth impressions will be taken, and the impressions will then be sent to the laboratory.
The dentist will place a temporary inlay onto the tooth until the permanent inlay is received after preparation.
What to Expect in the Second Appointment?
The dentist removes the temporary Onlay.
A conditioning gel is used for applying into your tooth to prepare it for the new Onlay.
The dentist will then place bonding cement onto the tooth. A high-intensity light is then used for bonding the resin to the tooth.
Finally, the tooth is polished by the dentist.
Your tooth is now more robust, well-protected, and looks similar to a natural tooth.
